We understand that PPA time is an important part of a teachers weekly timetable. At Thrive our team provide’s high quality cover in sports and music to ensure that your teachers can focus on their PPA knowing that their class are being well managed and are experiencing outstanding teaching and learning. 

In-depth planning and PPA support

As well PE and Music, we can also offer PPA activities covering Wellness, Mental Health, and PSHE. With comprehensive lesson planning supported by in-depth progression of skills and competencies documents,  our cover allows your pupils to demonstrate progression throughout their time in school.  Our formative and summative assessment methods also ensure that teachers are fully informed about how the class are performing during their PPA cover. We can also support with curriculum development in school and also provide bespoke support for Ofsted’s deep dive. 

We only use qualified teachers, HLTA’s or Level 2 and 3 coaches, meaning that there is a wealth of experience to support your pupil’s needs, whilst maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge

PE & sport

We have developed a full PE curriculum cover that meets that reflects the national curriculum requirements. We offer traditional sports such as Football, Rugby, Tennis and Athletics, but our skilled teachers and coaches can also deliver activities such as La-crosse, non-contact boxing, archery, fencing and much more. 

Music

With over 15 years experience, our expert Music teachers have delivered our Music Curriculum to a range of schools throughout Cheshire East, Cheshire West, Staffordshire and Shropshire, along with school productions, afterschool clubs and whole class instrument workshops. Music and the arts are widely recognised to support children’s personal wellbeing and we aim to help all pupils find a lifelong love and appreciation of music. 

Our KS1 Music Curriculum, includes topics such as:

  • Sound effects for stories and poems

  • Percussion Band

  • The Orchestra

  • Musical Fairy Stories

Our KS2 Music Curriculum includes topics such as:

  • Recorders and Sing Percussion Band

  • Whole Class Guitar

  • A Taste of the Blues Garage Band / Composing

  • Samba Band

  • Class Choir

  • We offer fantastic value for money for our PPA Cover services, but due to the unique needs of every school we cannot provide a one price fits all price list. Drop us an email, or give us a call and we can provide a free, no obligation quote

  • We only work with highly qualified individuals that are either teacher trained, HLTA’s or true industry professionals/experts. The qualifications of our teachers can be inspected prior to our start in school.

  • All of our team are DBS checked when they start with Thrive and will either be part of the renewal service or will need to renew their certificate every three years. They will also have appropriate First Aid, Safeguarding and Prevent training and Thrive has insurance to county standards of £5,000,000 and £10,000,000. Safety is of paramount importance to us.

  • We have progressive planning for PE and Music including Long Term Plans, Medium Term Plans, Individual Lesson Plans, Progression of Skills Documents and fully mapped assessment templates which partner schools have access to. Our experienced team also have experience in supporting schools with Ofsted deep dives in these subject areas. Our mental health courses are also fully planned and supported by excellent learning resources.
