Mental health
We believe mental health and wellness is a core foundation for a child and teacher’s success. That’s why we offer mental health awareness courses for both pupils and teachers. Our aim is always to improve and support the mental health of everyone we encounter.
For pupils…
Mini Medics is our basic introduction to mental health for children between the ages of 9 and 13. We deliver fun and engaging days to allow children to understand mental health, their own feelings and the feelings of others.
The course provides learners with an understanding of mental health, including what mental health means, how it is linked to physical health, what to do if they have a worry about themselves or others and the various ways in which they can look after their own mental health and that of others.
Andy’s management of the class is excellent. He makes sure all pupils are engaged, developing strong, respectful relationships with the class where he understands their personalities, needs, likes, and dislikes and tailors his sessions accordingly. The activities are thought provoking and when I speak to pupils afterwards, they can talk with confidence and enthusiasm about what they have learnt and how they will attempt to do things differently in their wider life. The children all speak incredibly positively about the sessions and we feel very privileged to have such an expert in this field working within our schools
